Employment Opportunity: Ohio University


The School of Communication Studies at Ohio University invites applications for a nine-month instructor position to commence Fall 2012. We seek assistance in applied organizational communication courses at the undergraduate level. The position will involve teaching applied and organizational communication courses, based on student demand, such as introduction to organizational communication, advanced presentations, training and development in communication, meeting and conference planning, and senior practicum in communication. The instructor position has potential for summer teaching and renewals.

Applicants should hold the Ph.D. (or provide evidence that they will hold the degree by August 2012; those who will be ABD in Fall 2012 will also be considered), have strong records of teaching, demonstrate a commitment to engaged student learning, and exhibit appreciation for diverse theoretical and methodological approaches to communication.

The School of Communication Studies is housed in Ohio University?s nationally recognized Scripps College of Communication. The College is a designated Center of Excellence in the State of Ohio. On the Athens campus, the School offers B.S.C. and Ph.D. degrees in programs with approximately
