are organizing a special issue of the journal of Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and
Social Networking on social media as a research environment. All accepted
articles will be published online ahead of print. The print issue is scheduled
for winter 2012.
We are seeking high-quality review articles and original
articles on the following topics:
* The use of social media as a data source in social
science research
* Papers that address questions of longstanding social
scientific interest using novel data from social media
* Experimental methods online, including controlled
experiments and natural experiments
* Effects of the structure/design of online environments
on users' social behavior
Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking is the
