Rural medicine is an underdeveloped area in all countries around the world, but it is particularly an issue in India. I will discuss my experiences with Indian and non-Indian organizations in rural healthcare and what is being done to develop rural healthcare. More generally, I will also discuss my academic experience in India for those interested in academic travel or volunteering in India.
Susan Pearsall is a senior majoring in India Studies and Biology.
